New – Winter Trail Rides / Kids’n Ponies
Saddle up for a scenic, silent ride on horseback through snowy, wooded trails. On Saturdays and school holidays, little ones will have fun taking pony rides, tack fitting and grooming during this year’s new Kids’n Ponies sessions. Please note: The horses take their day off on Wednesdays.

Snowshoeing / X-C Skiing / Ice-Skating
Equipment rentals are available. Guests enjoy complimentary use of Deerhurst’s onsite trails, outdoor rinks and tubing hill. For even more variety, excellent snowshoe and x-c ski trails are maintained at nearby Arrowhead Provincial Park and Algonquin Provincial Park.

Snowmobiling
Deerhurst is the perfect starting and stopping point for over 2,000 km of diverse, groomed snowmobiling trails in Muskoka alone. We're located right on the Trans Ontario Provincial (TOP) trail system which connects the entire province. Locked overnight sled parking, premium fuel, trail maps and permits are all available at the resort's Winter Sports Shop. Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding
Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area, located next door to Deerhurst, takes pride in its friendly atmosphere and short line-ups. With 12 slopes, 3 quad chair lifts, and a handle bar tow, it is an ideal location for families and for those who want to learn. Deerhurst guests enjoy discounted lift tickets at our Winter Sports Shop. See Hours of Operation and Current Slope Conditions.

Please note: From 20 March 2010 onwards, Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area is closed for the season.

Winter Hummer Tours
Take a ride on the wild side in the world's most capable vehicle, specially outfitted for snow travel and fueled by biodeisel made from recycled cooking oil. You’ll traverse seemingly impassable terrain with an expert driver from ERA Tours.

Snow Tubing
Hop on a complimentary tube at Deerhurst’s hill, or enjoy discounted lift tickets at Huntsville’s Rock Ridge Recreation Park, with 6 runs, a tow lift and snack shop.

Horse-Drawn Sleigh & Carriage Rides
Climb aboard for an old-fashioned ride, with the rhythm of the horses rocking you back to an era gone by.

Kids & Adult Dog-Sled Rides
Experience the Arctic thrill of dog-sledding with guides from Hidden Meadow Farm. And kids will love “Chili-Doggin” with pint-size sleds and dogs (a cute Husky-Daschund mix) perfect for young mushers.
Please note: The dogs take Mondays & Tuesdays off for a well earned rest.
