Chase for Space Program: Associates
Upon offering you employment, we would like to assist you in finding accommodations. We currently have two options available, on-property accommodations and our “Chase for Space Program”.
The number of staff accommodations on property is limited so several years ago we developed a program called CHASE FOR SPACE. At the start of each new recruitment year Deerhurst places advertisements in the local newspapers inquiring as to whether people in the area are interested in opening their homes to our seasonal employees. As the potential landlords begin to call, we obtain such information as location, price, facilities, etc.
Once you have been made an offer of employment, you will have access to this information. On your contract, it will ask which date you would like to come to Deerhurst in order to look for accommodation. A room would be booked for yourself and a guest (family or friend) for a one-night stay at a special rate and you would be given Chase for Space rental leads. This will allow you two days to find a place to live for the upcoming season.
Where possible we will add to the package names of other future staff who are also on property so that perhaps you can hook up and find shared accommodations.
In the past, there have been quite a variety of accommodations from rooms within a house to one or two bedroom apartments, trailers, cottages or even whole houses. The prices also vary depending upon the type of accommodation. Some of the accommodations are within walking distance of the resort while others are closer to town, therefore a person may need transportation to and from town.

If you have accommodation to let between April and October - whether it's a spare room, apartment, chalet or cottage - why not earn extra money by renting it to one of our valued team members?
The program is easy. Simply call or email our Human Resources department and let them know the accommodation you have available to rent, the rate and its proximity to Deerhurst. We'll pass that information along to our staff as they are hired, and you conclude your rental arrangements directly with the staff member.
