2013 "Comics on the Rocks" Weekend Line-Up

Rob Schneider

Emmy-nominated actor and SNL alum, Rob Schneider, best known for his trademark blend of character and comedic acting, recently made a return to standup comedy after a nearly twenty year break of acting, writing and directing movie comedies.

During his four seasons at “Saturday Night Live,” Schneider was nominated for three Emmys and a Peabody Award.  One of his most notable SNL characters was "The Richmeister", an office worker who sits beside the photocopier and annoys people by giving them a string of nicknames.

Schneider is well known for his longtime relationship with Adam Sandler and Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison, starring in several projects including Bedtime Stories, The Benchwarmers, 50 First Dates, The Longest Yard, Eight Crazy Nights, Little Nicky and Mr. Deeds. Schneider also co-wrote and starred in the two Deuce Bigalow movies,  The Hot Chick and The Animal. His other film credits include Big Stan, Shark Bait, The Waterboy and Big Daddy.

    

Nikki Payne

Rob Pue

With a knack for telling it like it is, Rob has become one of the brightest voices to hit the Canadian comedy scene. His unmistakeable charm, wit and trade-mark act-outs make him a must see performance. Rob has previously starred on MTV’s Punk’D, and had his own one hour “Comedy Now” special air on the Comedy Channel.

 

Tim Rabnett

This funny man has overcome the stigma of being an Ontario-born Anglophone to become one of Montreal’s most beloved comedians. With his use a deliberate, often academic approach to deliver intelligent, insightful and occasionally outrageous material, it is easy to see why!

 

Jeff Mcenery

One of the fastest rising stars in Canadian comedy. Jeff is currently the youngest performer headlining for Yuk Yuks, appearing in comedy festivals all over Canada. Jeff was the winner of the ‘Great Canadian Laugh Off’ in 2006, and was the ‘Best Stand-Up Newcomer’ at the 2007 Canadian Comedy Awards.

 

Kristeen Von Hagen

Kristeen has been hailed as one of the Top 30 Power Women in Canada by Elle Magazine, with a rich and illustrious comedy and writing credit resume to support the honour. She was the 2012 recipient of the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Comic.

 

Tyler Morrison

An award winning Canadian comedian and writer,  has quickly emerged as one of the most talked about young headliners in the country with his fearless brand of working class comedy.

 

Ryan Dennee

Ryan Dennee hit the stage swinging in November 2006 at the age of 29. Since then, he hasn’t looked back and has kept audiences howling with his untamed approach that focuses on chaotic stories from his past, absurd descriptions of people and places he has been, and clever writing.

 

Ben Miner
