The Concert

Ottawa-born roots rock singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards' freewheeling and banter-filled show is about much more than her own hit ballads. This crowd favourite's up close and personal gigs feature lots of fun and spirited covers mixed in with fan pleasers from her own albums like "Asking for Flowers," Six O'clock News" and "I Make the Dough, You Get the Glory." But before she electrifies the Girlfriends Getaway weekend audience with her instrumental (guitar, violin, harmonica…) and lyrical skill, Edwards opening act will bring even more clever tunes and three-part vocal harmonies to the stage. JUNO award winners the sharp, sassy and hysterical Toronto-based trio Good Lovelies - Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore - will soon have you chuckling and clapping along, the perfect start to a rockin' and singin' along girls' night out.
