DEERHURST RESORT HOSTS CANADA’S FIRST ESPN GOLF SCHOOLS

Huntsville, ON, May 2006 – Deerhurst Resort has been selected as the first ever Canadian home of ESPN Golf Schools starting with the 2006 season.  Widely regarded as one of the premier golf instruction schools in the United States, ESPN Golf Schools Presented by Lexus are prominently located at major golf destinations across the United States and feature curriculum designed by Dean of Instruction Hank Haney, “Golf Digest’s” number four on their 2006 list of America’s 50 Greatest Teachers.

This season, ESPN Golf Schools has unveiled a unique program for more advanced golfers. The Hank Haney Signature School will emphasize one-on-one instruction with Haney and include all aspects of the game as well as course management. The Deerhurst Highlands sessions are currently scheduled for June 22 and August 5, 2006.

Veteran Canadian PGA teaching professional Dave Castellan, who established the Golf Academy at Deerhurst Resort 6 years ago, has joined the team of highly certified ESPN Golf Schools instructors. Just last year, Castellan was named one of the Top 50 golf instructors in Canada.
